The New London Rural Community Fire Company was formed in 1968 to provide Emergency Services for the Prince Edward Island communities of New London, Park Corner, French River, Springbrook, Long River, Graham’s Road, Granville, Stanley Bridge and Clinton. Additionally we provide emergency services to part of the Cavendish Resort Municipality and thru mutual aid agreements we provide assistance to neighboring Fire Companies located in Kensington, New Glasgow and Rustico.

The Fire Company has about 30 volunteer firefighters that are trained to provide Fire Protection, First Response Medical Care, Motor Vehicle Accident Extraction, Ice Rescue and Water Rescue. The fire company’s volunteers respond to over 50 calls per year.

In addition to the over 1900 properties located in the fire district, the Fire Company also provides emergency services to the thousands of tourists who visit the area every year.

The New London Fire Company is an essential part of the area emergency response plan. The new Fire Hall provides a facility from which to stage disaster response and provide relief to area residents during an emergency.
